  In my years engaging with the Silent Hill fandom, the game that I love hearing people talk about the most is Silent Hill 4. Literally every aspect of this game has a horde of people either defending it or criticizing it, and the points they raise are often well-thought out. Personally, I like the game, but I don&apos;t always enjoy playing it (especially the second half). Still, I thoroughly enjoyed listening to you explain why you love SH4 through and through. Good job, Suzi!

  Okay... wow. The thing about the Room no longer healing Henry halfway through the game and the dark wolrd seeping in at the apartment... i always interpreted it as face value, Henry&apos;s safe space being taken away from him as he comes closer to his fate...<br><br>I NEVER thought of it from the angle that the Room is no longer a safe space because Henry WANTS to be outside! Him overcoming his need to BE in the Room... That is amazing

  While flawed in execution, SH4 is one of the most creative, ambitious and interesting horror games out there. I can’t help but love it for that.

  The moment you mentioned Hikikomoris it dawned on me that Japanese media at that time were portraying them more often, with animes like Welcome to the NHK (NHK ni yokoso) which is centered around the main character who is admittedly one himself. Then other games such as Persona 3 which also came out around that time, I always felt the victims of apathy syndrome in that game felt like a stand in or commentary of Hikikomori as if the shadows turned their victims into a hikikomori.
