The theme of the song and video is basically that feeling good is sold to us by corporations and other entities that don't care about us at all. The windmill segment is the singer's fantasy of a world that does care. The maniacal laughter is the corporate world laughing at the little people. Love the De La Soul rap!

Gorillaz is basically two guys musician Damon Albarn and artist Jamie Hewlett.

Most of everything is collaborative efforts with a plethora of artist both mainstream and underground.

This in particular features David Jolicoeur, of De La Soul, whom co-wrote the track. Sadly pasted away in 2023.

Their basic idea was to create a virtual band to see if the music would sell for the sake of the music rather than the 'Face' singing it. Blur were very big in the UK Brit Pop era of the 90's , Park Life, Girls and n Boys, Country House to name a few of their hits.

Blur was a bigger band in Europe. The Gorillaz were bigger internationally. Check out "Girls & Boys" and "Parklife" by Blur.

Rest In Power Dove-1 from De-La Soul.... one of the fiercest MC's from the post Golden Age and frontier of the Backpack Rappers guild. Originality and dopeness incarnate.

The message behind this song is so frightening because feeling good really is a product more than it ever was before.. this song plus the movie idiocracy sums up a lot about this current time
