What you said about him predicting social media, Anthony, is so true. This song is basically a critique of an increasingly technology-driven society. The lyrics warn against human over-reliance on digital realities, genetic engineering, and the loss of natural human connection in a modern, automated world. This song was released in 1996 and it's so prophetic, because 30 years later this is what the world is like with AI, social media and everything else that is going on! I wonder what it will be like in another 30 years, the mind boggles and it's flippin' scary!!

Jamiroquai owned the 90's. They had several other big hits in the late 90's and you should give all of them a listen.

Jamiroquai has an incredible library of music! A deep dive is needed.

I honestly thought this was Jamiroquai reacting to Jamiroquai.

He's talking about designer babies. Where people can choose their children's eye color, hair color, complexion etc. before their born. Genetically altered embryos. Or he could mean that people can choose the baby's race etc. through gentic screening.

I've certainly heard of this band, Jamiroquai are an English acid jazz and funk band from London. Formed in 1992, they are fronted by vocalist Jay Kay, and were prominent in the London-based funk and acid jazz movement of the 1990s. So, this is 1990s music and this song was released in 1996, this video is amazing, very imaginative and very cleverly done. Love the vibe to this song, so good! Thanks for your reaction, Anthony. ❤😊

In the line "every mother can choose the color of her child, that's not nature's way' he was talking about genetically modifying the fetus that was just beginning to gain public attention in 1996

Couldn't remember where the name Jamiroquai came from, so looked it up -
Jam: Refers to a musical jam session, Iroquois: A slightly altered spelling of the Iroquois Native American confederacy. Jay Kay was deeply inspired by the tribe's philosophy of living in harmony with nature. So there you go! 😊😊

This is like a song from a prophet. Just the things he says in it. It's crazy

You also have to watch "The Making Of" video too, to truly understand the sheer brilliance and how difficult it actually was to pull off.
