  Gorillaz has two permanent members...Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett.  Damon is the principal vocalist on all the songs and handles musical direction, while Jamie is responsible for the art and character designs.  As mentioned by other commenters, Damon was in Blur, and Jamie is also known for his comic book character Tank Girl, which was adapted into a feature film in the 90s starting Lori Petty.  They were roommates back in college and have had a decades long friendship and collaboration at this point.

  Gorillaz is basically one person&apos;s creative project featuring a plethora of guest artists. The band is fictional and animated, and some songs have been performed live, but Gorillaz dabbles in a host of different genres. And this song has only two vocalists, the main guy (Damon Albarn) and a recurring guest artist Dave Jolicoeur, from the rap group De La Soul who performed all laughs and rap parts. This band is a very wild, amazing rabbit hole to dive into.

  You can tell when she was gonna pause right before the windmill part, then it caught her before she could. Honestly such a good song to be introduced with.

  Damon Albarn is a generational talent. His influence on music since the early 90&apos;s cannot be overstated.

  It is honestly wild that an adult so knowledgeable would not have heard Feel Good Inc. in 2026. This is not a dig or insult, it&apos;s just amazing to me how different people&apos;s experiences can be. Gorillaz is foundational for me, I was listening to them as a kid, and I keep hearing them everywhere throughout my life. Meanwhile there are people who still get to experience it for the first time, and that&apos;s awesome.

  the rapping gentleman are DE LA SOUL. Legends. Gorillaz often feature american rap legends in their music.

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VCe7JXff6QU&amp;t=564">9:24</a> I once heard it described as “singing with a cigarette in your mouth,” which sounds accurate to my ear. It matches a lot of the intonation and slightly constricted pronunciation you hear in that style.

  Damon Albon intentionally made his voice sound pitch-unstable using lofi, vintage hardware so it always sounds a bit off. Brilliant imo.

  I wrote a whole like 14 page paper in college analyzing the lyrics and art in Feel Good Inc. It is so cool to now hear the analysis of the part I <b>didn&apos;t</b> have the expertise to write about!

  One thing I love about this song, is how the percussion are very much in dialogue with the vocals, not just under it.
