  As a somewhat recently graduated food scientist, I have been more and more horrified by the implications of capitalism in the food industry. The goal is to essentially weaponize human psychology and senses to create loyal addicts. It has nothing to do with health, safety, or actually feeding anyone. A healthy populace isn’t one that makes for better customers. A healthy populace isn’t as easy to extract wealth from. Nice video &lt;3 and thanks for sharing.

  About Oreos: did you know that Oreos are actually the bootleg cookie? Hydrox biscuits are the original Oreos and they&apos;re still sold today. They&apos;re pretty good.

  in Turkey the slopification is seen as a result of the introduction of tomatoes and peppers.<br><br>because ever since the introduction of these native american foods, people have stopped finetuning all the spices and have stopped using the variety of tastes and herbs that we have accumulated over the centuries.<br><br>nowadays we dont season out food as finely as we used to and instead dump a bunch of tomato paste or chilli peppers into the broth and call it a day. Thats why chefs in Turkey call tomatoes and peppers the worst thing that could&apos;ve happened to Turkish cuisine.
