  The fun thing is Kolkata was a major hub of Chinese immigrants, it was the Chinese immigrants, who introduced Bengalis to Chinese dishes, but added some Indian spices, so that it becomes preferred by the Indian taste pallet. From Kolkata, Indo-Chinese cuisines spread across India. Even now, some of these Chinese families are living in Kolkata, we also have a Chinese Kali Temple, where the goddess Kali is offered noodles. The history of food and culture is definitely fun and intriguing.

  Haiyaa Uncle Roger, we use Pressure Cooker, &nbsp;not rice cooker. That&apos;s basmati, if you cook it in a pressure cooker, it&apos;ll turn into babyfood.

  Guys, the Indo-Chinese cuisine isn&apos;t necessarily from bordering areas but a culmination of Chinese people migrating to India decades ago and Tibetan refugees finding refuge in the country in the more recent years.

  Well, In India, when a mother cooks, she chops the vegetables mid cooking as most of the things they make take enough time and they don&apos;t the hassle of first doing chopping, then cooking. They combine them both cuz it saves times and utensils.

  Indo Chinese cuisine originated in Indian city of Kolkata, brought over by Chinese Hakka immigrants. The reason why signature noodle dish of Indo Chinese is called Hakka Noodles. That along with manchurian, fried veggie (or chicken) balls tossed in soy and chilli sauce along with aromatics are the most popular dishes.

  If Chef Ranveer is Gordon Ramsey of India, like you said, there is someone like Marco-Pierre White of India too. I would recommend checking out Chef Sanjeev Kapoor. He is the OG in the Indian television cooking scene.
