Thank you for sharing. The same thing was wrong with my LP5500. My diaphragms were in pretty good shape, but the little neoprene piece had come out of the arm. I cleaned the corroded cover and reassembled using a light coating of RTV silicone on the low pressure diaphragm sealing area.

I rebuilt a tanaka electric start weed eater some years back no parts were availabe so i ended up buying 3-4 baskets off ebay i spent way more than buying a new echo but its the novelty of the unit itself
