  I purchased a generator that came from the factory with the ability to run propane or gasoline, so I didn’t have fuck around all this bullshit.<br><br>Good video though.

  Thank you. I am a propane rookie as my wife does all the grilling😂. I just added a WEN 2800 dual fuel to recharge my solar generator after Hurricane Milton. Your advice is very helpful.

  Good information. However, I&apos;ve gotten 7 years out of my OEM Torch plugs on two different generators. Neither one of these run propane. Two other that are not that old are still going strong with theirs. I have had problems with the counterfeit NGK&apos;s. I&apos;ve gotten them from both online and brick and mortar stores. &nbsp;My newest two generators both have Torch plugs. One (gasoline only) I&apos;ve only run it to it&apos;s first oil change and the other is the only one I have that also runs on propane. &nbsp;I ran it on both gas and propane for over a week last hurricane without a problem. I got the duel fuel because you never know which fuel source will be available in an emergency. I do have extra plugs, air filters, pull rope, oil and tools available for all of my small engines. I&apos;m covered for regular maintenance and to combat Murphy.<br>The reason for the smaller gap is LPG is harder to ignite than gasoline, but burns hotter. Many manufacturers and technical guides (like NGK Spark Plugs) recommend stepping down one heat range colder on the spark plug when running dedicated LPG to manage the extra heat. The plugs wear out slightly faster due to higher temperatures so using ones made with premium materials like platinum or iridium are recommended. Some also recommend different gaps based on the spark plug brand your using.<br>One thing you failed to mention, with larger generators running propane, is to get a larger tank than the 20lb ones, because the small tanks will ice up stopping the flow of the gas and you thinking the tank is empty when it is not. Another is that the generators output wattage is 10%-15% less than with gasoline. Take that into consideration when figuring what size generator you need for your must power at the same time items. My 2¢.

  I&apos;ve had lots of problems with NGK resistor plugs. Get the ones without the R in the part number. Unless you are running ham radio euipment.
