Can't tell you the number of times I've watched this movie and every reaction video to it - I still am in tears most of the way through.<br><br>I grew up in the 1950's, when movies literally could not say the gay (per the Hayes Code). Someone would say "he's . . . and let their wrist go limp. One of the first movies to deal with the subject was The Boys in the Band - where everyone was just bitchy. In movies, we would either be the villain or die an unhappy end - or both. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever image a movie like this being made. And a movie like this getting wide-spread love.<br><br>Thanks for sharing your reaction with us.

The book is one of my comfort reads. I picked it up shortly after its release when I googled queer books with a happy ending. The adaptation is a great standalone, but I feel more deeply when I read the book, the slightly younger men who talk about Star Wars and have their sisters and family drama.
