While the photo shows Coombe Cottage - where the Bryants lived — as a fairly large building, it was actually a semi-detached property with two separate entrances. The other half was occupied by a neighbour.
*****************
Thank you so much to everyone who’s supported this channel with a Super Thanks – it really means a lot and helps keep the content coming! 🙏
If you’ve found this video interesting or useful and would like to support the channel, you can now use the Super Thanks button just below the video. What a nightmare existence. It makes me admire my grandparents all the more for enduring Depression, War and illness.

I can recall seeing a television programme about this case about 7-8 years sgo. It included an interview with one of the younger children who described the shock he had back in the 60's reading a newspaper article about the case, as it was how he had learned the truth about his parents' deaths... Poor man.

Very sad story. I hope that the Bryant children had reasonably contented lives, as much as they can have had, as they were probably separated from each other upon adoption. it didn't bode well for them.
Parsons was almost certainly the father of one, and it seems he didn't care, just changed his identity and moved on.
This channel isn't just about crime, it's about the times people lived in and the struggles they had. It's like a social history. We associate the UK in the 30's to be like the Agatha Christie stories, with opulence and big houses and servants and Bright Young Things clad in the latest styles dancing the nights away...it's rare to see the drudgery and hardship of most of the population and the desperation to get more income.

What an age. "I'm firing you because I can't put up with the things other people say about your wife behind your back."

People are so strange. She’s married, having a torrid and public affair with her husband’s friend YET becomes furious and insufferable when she finds out that he has another illegitimate family, to the point of distraction.

This is why I very easily get past any times I feel lonely, and am grateful I chose a single life. ❤

    Another absolute classic case.
Brilliantly told and great illustrations and such a sad end for her husband Frederick, so sad that what he was suffering with was not picked up earlier. RIP Frederick.

A clear, unprejudiced telling of the tragic life of a disadvantaged woman. Well presented and enjoyed by me.
