For me it’s always more sad when the victim is close to a goal he worked so hard for.

He sounded like a good person. Poor guy.

Bravo; One of the best crime mysteries ever presented on this channel. The photos add to the historical context. This handsome, hard working young man's murder will likely never be solved. Tragic.

I live in the Black Country, where Kent was murdered would have been a very desolate place at the time. Kent was obviously targeted by people who had seen his money. I wonder if they promised him the chance to buy a share of a mine or something. Obviously the 'Americans' must have been in cahoots with someone who has local knowledge of the area. Not somewhere you would just stop off at

Hi Prash. This has many layers & is beyond sad. It would make sense that this was a robbery. Kent might not have realized he was a target. And his small pin, what did it represent. Alas we will never know.
RIP Kent

Sounds like he was targeted from his time on the ship. Conned into an "investment", maybe promised a get rich quick scheme, and lured to his death. What a sad story. Love your channel!

Poor Kent. Too trusting of the world around him perhaps.
The photos of the people and places are just amazing and deeply immersing!

Very sad case, poor guy, what did go on then, as you say we shall probably never know. Very well narrated and great illustrations. RIP Kent.
