  Have to give Jay credit for putting together most of that deck in the pitch black at -30c.   He is a true Canadian outdoorsman.

  I grew up with wood heat.  I lived on a farm and its the only heat we had.  I can remember it being -20° F below zero (colder with wind chill) and wearing shorts and a tshirt with no socks in the house.  It would be in the 70's in the house.  My bedroom was upstairs on the North side of the house with no heat vent so I would sleep downstairs during the coldest nights.  I miss the wood heat so much.  It was the absolute best.  If I had my way I would go back to wood heat instead of natural gas. By the way.  Thank you for the treat of such a long video.

  Cabin 101 before you head home is too fill the wood box and make splits for the next trip!! This way when u arrive and it’s -30 u can get the fire going right away!! Now while you’re unpacking the komatic and bringing your things inside, the cabin is already starting to warm up!! Nothing worse than having to dig out the wood pile/wood shed and make splits before you can light the fire!! This could also be an issue if there was ever an emergency situation.

  Hey Jay, I have a outhouse at my camp and it is about 88years old. We put wipes and TP down the hole with no problems. The trick is to pout agricultural lime down the hole every so often. It is biodegradable and will get rid of the waste and the paper and wipes.

  Hey Jay, we used a diaper genie in our outhouse for the tp and the wipes. It was the best thing. Didn’t have to touch anything and no smell and out of sight. My husband loves your videos, watches you all the time. Keep them coming! 😊

  This is so far my absolute favorite cabin build video. Outstanding! I love how Jay is always thinking one step ahead of his next move. And, man, he got so much done working in brutal conditions!
