  I&apos;ve been involved in both comics and trading card grading. &nbsp;CGC owns the monopoly of Comic Book Grading, hands down where some may say PSA owned and owns the trading cards grading the past quarter century... I remember when PSA and BGS were interchangeable as BGS had sub-grades, graded autographs, had better labels and slabs, things that Beckett earned market share away from PSA. &nbsp;Even today, PSA has the huge market share of trading card grading, but there&apos;s still competitors like CGC chipping away at PSA&apos;s business. &nbsp;Look at what CGC did and does with comic book grading, their competitors are a joke. &nbsp;PGX was never taken seriously by the hobby. CBCS &nbsp;was never a worthy adversary to CGC and when Beckett bought them, they mismanaged CBCS as they did their own BGS, and PSA&apos;s parent company, Collector&apos;s Universe bought BGS, CBCS and SCG. &nbsp;It feels like CU is buying competitors with no intention to support them or integrated them into their family of companies. &nbsp;If PSA were serious about comic book grading, they&apos;d have taken CBCS&apos;s small niche and take their momentum as CGC&apos;s only adversary and amplify that effort instead of the ego of PSA entering comic book grading with the arrogance of no experience and high grading fee rates. &nbsp;They came into the comic book grading hobby with an entitlement attitude. &nbsp;<br><br>With that, PSA is becoming an evil empire held to disdain. &nbsp;CGC has it&apos;s naysayers, but for the most part, they&apos;re a great company. &nbsp;For comic book grading, they&apos;re consistently the best company because they&apos;re the only company worth considering using. &nbsp;<br><br>So, when CGC entered trading card grading with CSG their first branded name, they actually were tight graders wanting to earn the business and respect the customers... so strict that if you see old &quot;GREEN LABEL&quot; CSG graded cards, you can crack and crossover back to CGC or to PSA and probably get a .5 to 1 full point above the number you seen on the green label. &nbsp;When they went to the black label, they loosened their grading to mirror PSA and BGS, the top company at the time and now they&apos;re no longer CSG and go by the parent company moniker of CGC.<br><br>I like CGC&apos;s slabs. &nbsp;I like CGC&apos;s labels. &nbsp;I like CGC&apos;s rates. &nbsp;I like CGC&apos;s QR Codes that link to photos of your card (I think PSA borrowed that tech idea from CGC and adopted it themselves). &nbsp;I like CGC&apos;s staff and customer care.<br><br>I feel CGC is earning market share from PSA. &nbsp;Will they become #1 and overtake PSA? &nbsp;Who knows? &nbsp;All it takes is a few scandals at PSA for any shady business practices and customers will flee and there&apos;s no where else to go but CGC. &nbsp;CGC is earning their loyal customers.<br><br>As for &quot;Prices Realized&quot;, everyone complains about the subjective nature of grading, so there&apos;s little difference between PSA and CGC in my opinion. &nbsp;CGC is a powerhouse. &nbsp;They can easily hire away PSA&apos;s graders and executive staff... and to that point, Collector&apos;s Universe is a powerhouse and can do the same. &nbsp;So, the companies are really about the staff and that can change at any time.<br><br>PSA&apos;s slow turnaround time and high rates plus their &quot;surge pricing&quot; upcharges make them fairly undesirable and they&apos;re alienating their customers.<br><br>I hope that CGC continues to do the right things and earns a shift and lures trading card grading customers away from PSA and the hobby itself recognizes CGC as equal to or better than PSA.

  They need to introduce rigid jumbo slabs. Right now, for oversized items, they only have those holders that are, essentially, oversized top loaders which I do not care for. I have a bunch of oversized items (postcards, team issues) that I would like to submit but I do not want them in those top loaders.

  The problem is resale numbers. Until the resale numbers rival PSA, they’re never going to be taken seriously. And I say this as a person who wants them to overtake PSA.

  I submitted for the first time to CGC . 2 cards for a test run. Both autos. I shall see? If it works out, I will submit on a regular bases. One issue I had was the mailing name. CGC CARDS. kinda stick out. Possibly the name when shipping cards can be more discreet?

  I had a card I sent to cgc it got a 7 I disagreed and resent it, it got a 9, grading is a joke,
