PSA lowers prices after their parent raised SGC prices! What are they doing??

  I have been submitting to SGC for years and I am now done with them. They had the best run operation of all the slabbing companies before the Collectors Universe takeover. I loved the $15 fee with 5-10 day turnaround time along with the best Customer Service in the Industry. Now $50 with around 75 day turnaround with subpar Customer Service. Collectors Universe and PSA are downright evil to destroy this company that is loved by Vintage Sport cards collectors.

  I can't help but to feel like PSA is purposly slowing things down for market manipulation. This slowdown started when they started buying and selling cards. Percieved scarcity is a huge factor in the marketplace and PSA has alot of pull. I am also benifiting from the spike although it really irks me that this has become the norm. Love the episode!

  It is rather obvious they are trying to control the market price; competition does not exist with monopolies.

  After PSA suspended Value grading, the next lowest level was the $75 level. Maybe that price level is simply too much for the vast majority of collector's which has resulted in a collapse of new submissions. Lowering that price hopefully brings back submission levels that PSA is hoping for. That's my theory and sticking with it!

  There is no headway because sellers continue to see the premium buyers pay for PSA grades cards.

  The Standard tier is exactly the same as the old Value Max tier, with worse turnaround times ($59.99, $1,000 max declared value)

  Guys!!! PSA is lying!!! There creating the demand on there own!! They just pumped the hobby/ business for a lot more money!!!

  Psa trying to compartmentalize sgc (ie price increase). The reason for psa price change with ongoing backlog is hopefully due to fear of losing business to cgc.

  I feel like collectors is protecting the psa brand by messing with bgs and now sgc, contrast is important. Also, the backlog is a good thing if an ipo is coming in terms of the sales pitch.
