  Brother as a longtime fan of Twenty One Pilots and a Christian for many many years I have been looking for something like this deep dive for so long and your explanations absolutely had me in tears because I have felt the exact same way about what I believe their music to be about, yet I have always found it difficult to put into words. Thank you so so much for this video and I am extremely excited for your explanations to come about the other albums! Favorite song off Breach either has to be Drag Path or Tally because I have struggled over and over again with questioning why God would love a sinner like me (Tally), but then taking the focus point off me and remembering Jesus and His love for me (Drag Path)! Thank you again!

  It’s very important to think about addiction here and realize that addiction is not just confined to substance abuse. What’s your addiction? We all have one or even some, and they may not even have nothing to do with drugs or alcohol.

  Please bear with my wild theory... <br><br>As many have noticed, Breach is pun... Yes, it&apos;s about a &quot;breach of the walls&quot; but it&apos;s also about a breach of trust or a Contract. I think Tyler at one point made a deal (a Contract) with God on how to share his faith. Maybe it was in regards to this 10-year storyline... and I think he may have wrestled and failed at times, and thought maybe God was making note of each of those times (Tally). I think the cultimation of Clancy&apos;s story is that though we often breach the contracts we make with God, he continues to pursue us (the Torchbearer) and he believes in US (Tally), even when we struggle to beleive in Him and/or His Goodness. <br><br>In City Walls, community didn&apos;t end up fully working (the stay alive symbol |-/ didn&apos;t have lasting effect), and Ned&apos;s antlers (creativity) ultimately failed too.... The only that will never ever fail us is God. Tyler&apos;s lyrics in this album remind us that in our journey of sanctification, that only thing that never fails, is God. <br><br>Praise the Lord! He is good. God&apos;s love never fails. (Psalm 136: 1)<br><br>Building off this, I don&apos;t think Garbage is about addiction or relapse. I think it&apos;s about a draining of creativity or ability of Tyler to express himself. I think he&apos;s concerned that this drained feeling is maybed God&apos;s doing (&quot;maybe you don&apos;t fix and you like it like this&quot;) and it&apos;s almost God&apos;s subtle way of saying it&apos;s time to make an adjustment. <br><br>This culminates in Downstairs.... &quot;Have I forced your hand?&quot; he wonders... Has this breach of trust forced God to put an end to something... maybe his current music-making as we fans know it? Tyler says to God that He can have it all, but then he also says &nbsp;&quot;Mercy!&quot; Tyler battles with knowing that He must surrender it all to God, his entire career, all his music, but it&apos;s certainly challenging. <br><br>And yet, no matter what, no matter how many fails and mistakes we make in our journey of follwing Jesus and surrending all to him, &nbsp;He relentlessly pursues us. As we see in Drag Path, we will survive the night (a recurring theme in each album cycle), and look upon the brightness of day, and we&apos;ll know that God, the rescuer, the bringer of light, has found us!
