My Dad shot a 416 Rigby well into his 80s. I got one for my 21st birthday. We both have worked as professional hunters. Best combination of power, weight, and range. I do miss 410 gr projectiles.

Congratulations on creating such an accurate rifle. That final group shot by Adam is phenomenally precise shooting with dangerous game type bead and notch sights - most shooters couldn't replicate that with a .308 let alone a .416 Rigby.

As a former infantry soldier used to iron sights. Those are great shot groups, and about 1 MOA. You can’t get better than that with iron sights at that range. Good quality work gentlemen.

Hi guys, new to the channel. For once the YouTube algorithm has actually done me a favour and brought your vlogs my way. I’ve been shooting for many, many years, though not in the larger calibres, and the biggest I’ve ever gone up to is around 6.5. That .416 Rigby though... my God, what an absolute beast. I must say, what a class rifle you’ve produced, and the accuracy with those open sights, especially considering the recoil, was absolutely tremendous. The only thing that really shocked me was how the bench managed to stay standing after it. Anyway, I’ll definitely be commenting more in future, and thank you again for producing such an interesting channel and such good vlogs.

Gary

Decades ago a friend asked me to solder a front sight element in a replica Colt SAA Revolver he had been modifying (I have been welding 50 years and at that time had ASME and CAA ratings etc.) the blade was just a tall square insert, and he explained he loaded his own .45LC then filed down the foresight to suit the load. The pistol was in the white and I used a heat barrier paste in the bore to prevent scorching the lands etc.

He zeroed it over at Bisley, I went along with him to observe the process, and this video of yours reminded me ofthat early 80's day.

Great job there you two on the ''sighting in'' and the rifle build! Your professional custom work shows itself! I'm sure there's not many these days that could shoot that well using open sights with a 22. Some maybe with a 30-30 but hardly any with a calber of that size! We're too conditioned to optics anymore, which I do love though. Well done from Sophia, N.C, USA

Great iron sight work with the shallow V. I'm surprised that you didn't have a bunch of police coming down the road!
