  I have the pleasure of teaching The Fellowship of the Ring at the school where I work. Once we get to The Bridge of Khazad-dûm chapter, I might show the kids this video, with a worksheet to help them better understand how this scene really has more than meets the eye.

  I have read the LOTR for more than 65 years, and the depth that Tolkien has in this scene is truly amazing. Imagine, if you will, what it was like to read this when the Silmarillion was only a mysterious source cited in the Appendices. Amazingly enough, the scene  packed a punch, goosebumps and chills,  even without that knowledge. Now, we know more, and you absolutely MASTERED it in your presentation. I am shaken by how you laid out the deeper implications. Well done, thank you, and be well.

  I used to play Lord of the Rings Online ( still visit sometimes). A lot of the lore about Gandalf&apos;s fight with the Balrog is in the Moria expansion, which was always one of my favorite areas in the game. The game is a bit old now but still does a great job at conveying Tolkien&apos;s Middle Earth.

  A very good video. I applaud you. One Note I think you said the storm turned them back from the mountain pass, but remember it was the mountain itself that turned them back. Carhardras?sp?
