As soon as you showed only 2 screws for the mobo my immediate thought was oh no, I bet a standoff is in the wrong position.

That standoff shorting those traces probably killed the board.

Greg, I've been fixing and building PC's for 40 years! I still get stumped now again and still find myself making rookie mistakes! So embarrassing! Every now and again a fault shows up that is completely outside your experience! You can't instantly recognise every fault. Trust me I know! 🤣🤣🤣

You don't need to justify yourself, the work speaks for itself.

23:12 No, we DO want to see the issues and potentional fixes. It wouldn't be interesting to hear "Yeah, it does not work, I replaced it and it works". We like the effort you put into trying to find/fix the problem :)

I know you might get frustrated if something takes a long time to fix. But these are the best videos when you're actually struggling. The puzzle solving is the best part and is actually were we learn the most.

Should name this playlist... Replacing a Viewer's BROKEN Motherboard. Every damn video I watch that's what seems to happen.

These are the exact type of esoteric and/or atypical PC issues that I love on Fix or Flop! I do love a good, this PC component is clearly and obviously broken, here's a replacement voila! fixed! But these more cryptic issues where a standoff was in the wrong spot and possibly shorted the board, or the cmos battery was weird and possibly created a weird power flow that fried the board over time. Where these are the small things as a PC owner I'd never think of as something that could be an issue and still, at the end of the day. Replacing the component, regardless of the mystery, was still the solution and everything immediately started working! That is troubleshooting at its best imo. Great job as always Greg! I do hope the owner of the PC does consider getting a new case sooner rather than later because my opinion of it only got worse as the video progressed. XD

Wen Greg says "We probably found our problem" but there is 22 minutes left in the video...... Sitting on the edge of seat!
