I like seeing "this is what I believe should fix it" and then 15 solid minutes left in the episode.

That direct die plate cut his traces on the motherboard. 14:20 zoom in the top right. He also managed to mess it up in the bottom left. He used too much pressure and it was uneven.

I absolutely love this channel. As a tinkerer sometimes its cheaper to watch someone else tinker... Thanks Greg

19:08 Lesson for anyone troubleshooting. When you have a PC like this that has intermittent symptoms, you definitely don't run it for a couple minutes to test stability. You want to test it ideally under load for a couple hours at the very least.

I was so worried when you swapped out the MoBo, assuredly confident this would solve the issue...
...and there was still 15 minutes left in the video.

As others also stated at 14:20 there is PCB damage (dents,scratches,...). Probably damaged some traces.

14:17 We've got some visibly damaged motherboard traces. Looks like the heat spreader was overtightened.

When people replace the AM5 High Performance Heat spreader, they tighten it down to tight. This breaks the traces in the motherboard. Ive seen this so many times that I tell people its not worth replacing the IHS.

board I was diagnosing at the beginning of this year had exactly same symptoms. I narrowed it down to traces around cpu. That contact block was too tight and caused some scratches and microcracks in the tracks so when you introduced some heat it just powered off. When I sprayed some canned air every couple of seconds to that area it stayed on. \
edit: As somebody already said here 14:20 implies exactly that

I've had that problem before, ironically enough. Very nice mobo that I wasn't willing to part with, so I sent it out to an amazing shop that specialises in micro-repairs. Ended up being a broken trace and transistor between the CMOS battery and the chipset. How it was damaged is beyond me, as it happened (assumingly) while the PC was in use and hadn't been moved or disturbed in years at that point. My presumption was that the transistor blew and smoked the whole line, disrupting electrical flow enough to shut the board down through circuit protection.

14:18 obvious scratches around all bracket mounting points, especially at the top right where the traces are especially exposed. Could be the problem. If so, definitely the owners fault.
