This video is not complete, the song ends in that deep voice: "Oh, those Russians..."

I danced to this when it came out in the Discos in 79. The dance floor instantly filled up with this and Ma Baker.

Im late to the comment party but Boney M was HUGE in europe, i was born in 88´ and i grew up with my parents partying the hell out of Boney M. First time i heard them was when my parents playing them on the gramophone, i still love them, both for their music, stage presence and especially from good memories. :D

9:25 Rasputin survived so many assassination attempts. He had propaganda written on him, he had influence over all of Russia.

The guy with the mic is not speaking. It's the voice of the producer, the guy who put the band together and wrote the songs. The German producer wrote music for a black funk band that is singing about a Russian religious leader and all-around stud. That about covers it.

Bobby Ferrell was Dutch. And the evergreen words of Rick James " cocaine is hell of a drug!"
