SWITCH THE GASOLINE OVER TO PROPANE!

The energy density will be slightly less, but it burns cleaner, which is IMPORTANT in confined spaces without good ventilation.

Plus, Propane doesn't care what orientation it's in, so it can keep going even if the suit falls over.

Also, small Propane bottles are cheap and easy to swap out like a fusion core. And propane won't decay like gasoline will, so barring any leaks, it'll last forever.

TL:DR, Propane is a straight-up upgrade.

Just for those who haven't been around as long, The Hacksmith's first video was like almost a decade ago & it was on power armor. Specifically, the Elysium power suit. He appeared on National tv where he lifted the back of a car off of the ground using some piece of junk exoskeleton that he had built in his basement. While being an inspiration to millions of fans all over, he's also the OG when it comes to exo suits. ✨🤩✨

17:29 "Try to resist my arm." *James casually pins him* You accidentally perfectly illustrated why a robot arm attached to a human body won't actually give you super-strength. Your whole body has to handle the weight, not just the arm. That's why power armor has to have leg and torso enhancement.

8:20 neither did the Fallout universe! the "Fusion" Cores that power armour uses are actually fission batteries, they were only called "fusion" to make them seem cleaner and safer, as they were also used in cars and other stuff in the Fallout universe pre-war.

Controlling the armor with your body movements is a really important point. This is how the first ever sci-fi depicting power armor, Star Ship Troopers, (1959)
wrote about it, and how it presumably works in almost every setting it exists in. You push on the armor, and it moves with you like it’s not there at all.

That's one hell of an update, what do you mean "it may not seem like much"? It's a HUGE change and an amazing upgrade, making the whole system more powerful, portable and even better looking. Keep it up, it's going way too good! I can't wait to see the end result!

Imagine this with a military budget

Given how loud the pump is, it may be worth integrating hearing protection into the helmet of the suit. Maybe even having it be setup to be pushed in when the pump is activated (if there is actually enough space for that) it would also make sense if there was hearing protection in there, considering that power armour was designed for military use

POWER ARMOUR!

FINALLY! Someone is using a ICE unit to run a power armor suit. It's only taken...what, sixty years? (double-checks...)
Yep, the first experiments in creating a practical powered exoskeleton was with the GE Hardiman suit back in 1965...and nobody, whether civilian OR military, has been able to figure out using a compact gas engine for power? For 60 years??? Man, smart people can be really dumb sometimes.
I'm really proud of all of you folks at Hacksmith for beating all of your predecessors and finally figuring out the solution. Don't forget including a good muffler for the engine! =^x^=
