Isn't it ironic that so many years later people are still talking about how unironic this song is?

I think Alanis is too good of a song writer to not realize she wasn't being ironic

Don’t ever doubt Alanis for anticipating all this irony from her un-ironic song. She’s a real smart cookie

I'm a huge metalhead and I don't care what anybody thinks or says.. Alanis morissette is or was badass.. I will jam the jagged Little pill album everyday 😉

I loved the whole Jagged Pill album but especially a song called “Forgiven.” It’s so good! Also a song she did for the City of Angels soundtrack called “Uninvited” is a really good one

Alanis once said in an interview that the title itself was meant to be ironic. The whole Jagged Little Pill album is amazing though. Great reaction!! 🙂

If you take the "irony of life/fate" then "ironic" of the song fits perfectly.

As a life long rock and metal guy, Alanis is my guilty pleasure. Dont judge me lol.

People who point out "ThAt iSNt IrONy!" in this song seem to miss the whole point of art.

She actually did a 2020 version of this with updated ironies. FYI

She's said in many interviews that for the last 25 years she's had to listen to people tell her that there's nothing ironic about this song. She's a great songwriter though with an amazing voice and very unique and fun singing style.
