I have to say I'm a bit jealous.
There's not many places I'd rather walk on a night like this.
London is so special in the summer. ❤

Enjoyed this walk very much. These videos always elevate my mood and provide food for thought, whether it's a mattter of the history discussed or just the nature of perambulation itself. Many thanks from USA.

Got back home to Manchester on Thursday after a few days spent exploring London on foot. I use your videos as inspiration for my walks. Wapping/ Isle of Dogs/Royal Docks is a favourite. Highlight this time was walking along Thames path from hotel in Docklands, through central London to Erno Goldfingers former home near Hampstead Heath. Then back through Primrose Hill and Regents Park to catch train home at Euston. Temperature was 30 degrees plus. The pint of chilled lager at a pub near Euston was exquisite beyond words.

Absolutely lovely video John - what a great atmosphere in the City on a hot summer's evening. I felt quite emotional seeing Smithfield Market, as my Grandad worked there as a 'bummaree' porter for decades. The new Museum of London will be a fitting use of the old buildings. London feels unchanging, yet is always evolving. Walking without any planned route is still the best way to immerse oneself! ❤

Seeing Cafe Pacifico took my breath away. It’s a long story with twists and turns but a dinner there changed the course of my life and helped my fondest dream come true.

The feeling of a summer evening in London. Wow. Lovely video. The sculpture commemorating the cat who ate oysters. The Roman wall. On and on down tiny lanes to gardens where medieval churches used to be before the fire of 1666. So many things that used to be. Thank you.

29:30 I've done the Aldwych/Kingsway walk many times too, there is something about forging a way north through the crowds and then ducking down a side street to be met with complete silence and a feeling of peace :)
I also love walking via the Brunswick Centre just when the sun sets, it comes alive with people, music and lights :)

I think this is a great way to discover the rich tapestry of London-life, which can't be found on a map or in a guidebook. Thank you.

Bit of a coincidence, I was just re-reading Great Expectations last night for the first time in about 50 years and it mentions Little Britain as the location to Mr Jaggers office. Its probably the first time I've heard of the street since the last time I read it.
