Almost 30 years ago I was on a bus in Korea heading to Camp Casey.  We were all just young soldiers in the Army. This song came on and my friend (picture a 6'4" muscular black guy) stood up and started singing beautifully and word for word. Everyone else joined in. I wasn't homesick anymore. I'll never forget that day. Great song.

My husband sung this song to me on our first date and I still love hearing him sing it to me now after 20 years of marriage , chemo and radiation and My hair falling out and in remission now and 3 kids. It will never ever get old

20 years ago right before my dad died, i remember my mom sitting in a chair next to his bed in the hospital room. with a tear in her eye, she started humming, and after a little bit he woke up and sang the rest of the song with her. Dad, i know you're looking down on me and i can feel your love <3

This is the last song my wife heard, I played it the last moments before cancer took her while I held her forehead to forehead looking into her eyes telling her  "l Would Love Her Forever and Ever" in this life and the next. Amen We were married by my Chaplin Capt Gates July 4th 1979 in full Marine Dress at NASCC and were together till April 12th 2016 at <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgJXbIP83A8&t=490">8:10</a>pm CST
