People took their kids to Deadpool & Wolverine. Parents take teens to R Rated movies and teens go themselves to R Rated movies too. This is a complete nonissue if you ask me.

Well, it’s not like the budget is $250 million. Probably $25 million. It will do fine.

Hell yeah, I want an 18+ Godzilla. The nuclear monster message would hit impossible levels!

I'll be taking my 13 year old son anyways. I can't imagine it's that bad, and he's more excited for this than he has been for anything in years. No problems

I don’t think it’s gonna fail. Kids are likely still gonna see it with their parents. I am pretty excited to see the first r rated Godzilla movie, and I hope that it’s gonna be worth it.

Whatever. Godzilla vs Hedorah had the flesh literally melting off of humans and it got a G rating. Kids are taken to R rated movies all the time. It will be fine.

Let’s see if the 1st Godzilla rated r movie ever is actually gonna make it any greater than it was before

9:50 If they are I’m perfectly fine with it. I kid you not, when I went to go see Minus one on opening night here in my town, there was actually a guy there with his toddlers and he was READING ALOUD the subtitles to them ALL movie… I wasn’t even sitting that close to him and it was so distracting. Add to the fact the toddlers were not sitting still and being distracting themselves. So yeah, if they are “perturbed”, that’s a win in my book.

Minus One as successful as it was only made 100 million. I dont think this being r rated will make the movie less than 100 million. This would only be an issue if it was a Hollywood blockbuster. Not to mention these are more movies for adults than kids.

Not gonna lie, I am a little worried by that reading. I’m hoping that their priorities did not shift to making it as violent and bloody as possible without taking to account the story.

I'm sure if Toho was concerned about the rating, they would have made edits to secure a PG-13.

The shock alone of being rated R will get a lot of people interested, and it's coming off the coattails of the first Oscar winning Godzilla film, I'll do just fine.

Unsupervised teens are the biggest casualty here but like it's not hard to get an adult to go in with them. But honestly with how bad movie etiquette has gotten that may not necessarily be a bad thing
