Eurovision is absolutely political, but Ukraine is generally a very successful participant in Eurovision too. They have only competed since 2003 and have won thrice and have had a lot of other good results as well.

Eurovision is more of a celebration than a contest anyways, the contestants cheer each other and it is wholesome to see 😊

Regarding your wish of Eurovision having less English lyrics. This year only 44% of all song lyrics in the competition are in English, the lowest it's been since the 90's. Last year it was 56%

These are very shorts clips and not necessarily the best parts of the songs in all cases. You'd really need to see the whole songs to have an informed opinion about them 😊

Of course politics are involved in the Eurovision Song Contest, its literally the reason why the contest exists.
The slowly growing hostile tensions back in 1956 between the western and the central European countries after the war are literally the reason why the Swiss public tv and radio broadcaster had created the „Grand Prix Eurovision de la Chanson,“ (which changed only almost recently by 2001 in to the „Eurovision Song Contest“) as a friendly competition between the countries who have been enemies in the war, but now have to live in close proximity side by side, just as a valve to let off steam, but not to start war again

"Voilà" means here I am or there it is ("look there" = vois là).
In her song, Barbara wants to reveal herself to the world, with all her uncertainties and flaws. It's a tribute to great old French-speaking singers like Edith Piaf, Barbara, Charles Aznavour, and Jacques Brel. The singer is vulnerable, naked, without extravagant costumes or decor. And yet, so brave and so resilient.
