American Reacts to Eurovision 2026 Songs (The World is Saved)

As a American, I know watching all the different countries perform their songs differently must be confusing so I’m going to say this upfront: don’t judge solely based on their national final performance or music video! Some countries have no budget, others have a traditional annual musical event that also happens to go to Eurovision, and some others just create a show bigger and more wide-reaching than Eurovision itself. So you kinda have to be in the know, of money, geopolitics, styles, and types of national finals, in order to understand why things are the way they are. If you keep all that in mind, Albania’s being a single singer on stage with live instruments and Finland’s being a massive tv production doesn’t totally compare until you see both on the Eurovision stage in Vienna. God bless! ❤

You can vote for Serbia since you’re part of the Rest of the World vote. Serbia performs in the first semi-final on May 12th, performing 15th.

In this years Eurovision you have 23 languages represented, that are not English. With subtitles, web sites with all lyrics translated and a general wish to have other languages, English is not as important in Eurovision anymore.

Satoshi's song is Paneuropean, an incredibly important sentiment given the geopolitical circumstances Moldova is in. Hence the Spanish and Latin and English and everything. It's another Moldovan banger and I really recommend that you watch ESC Gabe's coverage of the Moldovan national final to fully grasp at how important and monumental this commitment to Europe is and how hyped Moldovans are about that song.

Satoshi sings in Romanian, French, Italian, Spanish and English, because Moldovans emigrate to these countries to work and because they feel at home there. The times when they went to Russia are over, because Russia does not respect Moldova as a democratic and independent country.

Eurovision Asia not being called Asiavision is a rights issue. Asiavision as a name is owned by the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU), whereas Eurovision is owned by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU). Don't know the details why the ABU doesn't want to set it up but it is what it is
