The effort of humanity to find meaning in natural events since the earliest times stems from the fundamental need to seek the absolute power behind the universe. Sun, storm, or wind are not directors in themselves; they are merely instruments displaying the manifestations of a supreme will. The alterations mentioned in the text indicate how a pure understanding of divine truth was diverted from its essence through human interventions over time.

Humanity's innate need for refuge and belief has manifested in different forms throughout history. Turning toward natural elements is also a result of this pursuit. However, this orientation finds its true fulfillment only when directed not toward the created entities themselves, but toward the Creator who brought them into existence and sustains their order.

32:05 “Webber” - yikes! In sociology classes at university I was also taught that Weber was pronounced like vay-ber.

Regarding “what is the definition of an angel”, a more pertinent question may be, what is the definition of a god? It seems to me that it’s the change in the understanding of the concept, and therefore word, god (and its relevant translations), that leads to needing another word for the things that used to be called gods. Once the concept of capital G God develops - an all powerful all knowing creator being, then it is clearly no longer appropriate to use that same term for beings that are very powerful compared to humans, but are insignificant next to the all powerful capital G God. So then people looked for another category to put these old “gods” into - something that is super-human, but clearly not on the level of God. And the term “angel” was there.
