  THANK YOU for not cutting out complications/difficulties/oversights.<br><br>Watching a pro that has zero problems is discouraging. It makes projects seem impossible/overwhelming.<br>For myself, I get locked into a &quot;plan forever&quot; state of mind.<br><br>Seeing &amp; knowing that problems DO come up, even for a master craftsman, and CAN be resolved is VERY VERY reassuring!

  When using Evaporust, if your parts are sticking out above the liquid it will etch a line where the part is above the level of Evaporust. To stretch the amount of product you can put rocks or glass balls (think pool balls) into the tank and it will displace the Evaporust enough to raise the level and cover the parts.

  As far as I&apos;m concerned restoring, repairing, and improving an old tool so that it will actually be used again is far more respectful to it and the original manufacturer than leaving it in a &quot;pristine&quot; state in which it will never be anything but a curio.

  Your craftsmanship and attention to detail are truly inspiring. And you speak so humbly about doing work that&apos;s so impressive. I am sure it&apos;s been acquired over a lifetime of hard work and dedication. It is truly is inspiring for projects I&apos;m thinking of taking on myself. I wish I had found your channel much earlier. <br><br>In regards to the vice, I&apos;ve never seen a vice like this. The versatility and options it provides are awesome. I can see how it inspired the workbench you built. They go together like two peas in a pod. <br><br>Thank you for sharing your talent with the world.

  Unless it is historically significant - used by Rod Laver for instance - no worries and no guilt. And as far as you know, the person who made this might be delighted for you to add the dogs. That’s a better guide than a fetishistic worship of old things.
