  Saw his last show on tour in Boston…3.5 straight hours of absolute masterclass musicianship. He played for over an hour before saying one word between songs. He paused and said “thank you” and the crowd erupted just to hear him speak. Had the crowd in the palm of his hand with maybe the best backing band in music. This man is the truth. Best show I’ve ever seen.

  He is what is used to be like watching a 70’s artist play. Dude goes out for 3 hours no opener and it’s pure musicianship.

  This version is so damn good! People are like, "I can't understand him." And I'm like, "Just memorize the lyrics to every song, and you hear every word."

  Never heard of this band until I heard it on Austin City Limits . Literally jumped out of the bathtub to see who it was . Incredible ! I’m hooked .

  In my humble opinion ,  Sturgill Simpson is one of the brightest shining stars on stage these days.  His musicianship remains a top shelf entertainment ,  and his writing simply speaks for itself!!!  Call him as you will......but thank you for your valid representation of him.  Long live "Johnny Blue "  ,   and long live all those of Austin City Limits.        ron

  Worked security at his concert at Stubbs and he was just absolutely amazing. 3 hours of just great music

  Saw him in Georgia. Started right at 8pm, played for 3 1/2 hours. 15% of the arena left before it was even over. First time I’ve seen that. He was the truth

  I'm way behind the times - I just discovered Sturgill's music a short time ago.  I'm 77 & don't know how I missed him.  I love Long White Line.
