  i&apos;m a gen z mom and honestly when i found out i was pregnant, i began to repeat my generational curse. however, i would say having my daughter made me wake up to that fact and confront it. now she&apos;s almost 2 and is a confident, sociable child. &nbsp;as i&apos;m raising her i am also reparenting my inner child, such as tantrums. i know i &quot;acted out&quot; because of a lack of language to articulate how i felt and was left on my own when experiencing anger and sadness in a way not deemed acceptable by my boomer/gen x parents. even tho i get frustrated with my daughter, it quickly passes as i remember being in her shoes. i want to teach her skills as a child that i didn&apos;t learn until adulthood (things such as healthily expressing anger, boundaries, etc)<br>just hit your discipline section and have to say i am so grateful my mom has healed herself as well and is on the same page (for the most part haha)

  I was raised to pay my mom’s bills and when I moved out she was really mad that I wasn’t going to continue supporting her. It’s like I’m not allowed to achieve anything in my life because she isn’t taken care of. Now bother my parents are disappointed that I don’t want children. I’ve been a mother to my mom for years and I’m done. I’d rather raise a dog than raise a child and I can only afford a dog. Not to mention being chronically ill and trying to find the energy to do things.

  As a Gen Z mom, 26, my village is my other friends who have kids and no village. We look crazy when we go out with a hoard of kids but the kids get to socialize and build skill among peers and we all take schooling very seriously.

  As a mom of two (6 years and 1 year), I honestly feel disgusted by parents who straight out bully their kids and babies. It wouldn’t even cross my mind to scare or startle my kids while they are falling asleep. What a lack of parenting instincts

  What sucks is that the whole spare the rod is so twisted. The rod is a shepherds rod and was used guide sheep and beat away predators. Not beat the sheep. <br><br>Guide your children. You can do that without hitting them. Firm boundaries, clear expectations and follow through.
