  My mom went to high school with Trey Parker. When I asked what he was like in high school she said “he was exactly how you imagine a South Park creator in high school”

  Also, in the Scientology episode they made all the names in the credits "Jon Doe" and "Jane Doe" to avoid legal liability...just AWESOME stuff!

  So Matt and Trey have stated in interviews that the reason the OG sex scene in Team American was so over the top was because they knew in general the scene was probably going to be denied by the censors- so, they purposely made it crazier than they wanted it knowing the rest of it would seem tame in comparison and be approved by the censors. And evidently it worked.

  The most impressive thing about South Park is that is written, storyboarded, scripted,   animated, and voiced ready for air in less than a week. They had almost completed an episode about Hilary winning the election when it was announced that Trump won, much to their shock. They created an entirely new episode in about 2 days ready for air

  I saw Bigger, Longer, and Uncut in the theatre when it came out. I was 10. It fundamentally changed my entire life. I was not the same child I was when I left that theatre. I had a whole new vocabulary. A new world.

  What cemented South Park as one of the greatest television parody shows of all time was the save the whales episode, specifically the ending after they convince the Japanese government that it wasn't a whale and dolphin that dropped the nukes on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, but a cow and a chicken. After which they cut to a scene of a bunch of Japanese whalers brutally slaughtering a bunch of cows and chickens. A bunch of the characters were watching from afar, and Randy Marsh put his hand on his son Stan's shoulder and said, "See, son? Now they're normal, like us"

These people broke into the freaking Pentagon at one point, but the raunchy cartoonist writing team was so close knit that some interloper trying to weasel into their tanks just... Didn&apos;t happen. Marvelous.
