  Pre-Seinfeld sitcoms featured good/regular characters who were placed in wacky "situations" usually revolving around a workplace or family setting. Seinfeld began the "a bunch of sociopaths doing sociopathic things" trend.

  Heres my idea for a modern Seinfeld episode:<br>Kramer goes on the Carnivore Diet, realizes how expensive eggs are and decides to raise chickens in his apartment to save money. <br>George dates a woman who is very involved in &quot;human rights&quot; and goes with her to (unknowingly) protest a KKK rally. The cops assume George is one of the Klan guys and they protect him while George&apos;s girlfriend gets tear-gassed and arrested.<br>Jerry is secretly thinking bout buying a Tesla until Puddy offhandedly tells him, &quot;you look like the kind of guy who would drive a Tesla&quot; with no further elaboration.<br>Elaine has to listen to Jerry complain so much about Puddy&apos;s comment that she snaps and tells Jerry that she also thinks he looks like the kind of guy who would drive a Tesla

  I almost resent Seinfeld for getting Jason Alexander type-casted as a spineless loser, when in reality he has phenomenal range as an actor and a brilliant singing voice.

  Throughout the series, Jerry, George, Elaine, and Kramer often acted selfishly or indifferently to others’ problems. The finale put them on trial, literally replaying all their past bad behavior with cameos from characters they wronged. The jail sentence was like karmic payback.

  I&apos;ve just got to defend my boy Jason Alexander for a minute about the whole thing with the actress who played Susan. She was ALWAYS going to be written off the show eventually, but the writers just didn&apos;t know how or when until Alexander (and the others, I guess) started voicing concerns about finding their comedic rhythm with her. But immediately after he originally told the story on Howard Stern, Jason Alexander very graciously apologized for the way he told the story and for not making more of an effort at the time. He said, &quot;Heidi would always ask if there was anything in the scenes she could do or if I had any thoughts. She was generous and gracious, and I am so mad at myself for retelling this story in any way that would diminish her. If I had had more maturity or more security in my own work, I surely would have taken her query and possibly tried to adjust the scenes with her. She surely offered. But I didn&apos;t have that maturity or security.&quot;

  &quot;She&apos;s a person not an age&quot; is a crazy thing to say when people are BOTH and if you&apos;re an under age person that age is very important.

  The show was about sociopaths who don’t learn anything. That was a writing room plot/exercise device.
