  I’m not a Christian, but it bugs me when people twist a quote from the Bible entirely out of context, and THEN think they have the power to call on God’s ‘powers’ whenever they want to do something ungodly stupid. Like no, you can’t just decide that you can drive off a bridge but ‘God will protect you’. That’s not how that works.

  i wouldn’t say i grew up going to church, but as a teenager when my sister moved back in with us she got into a church and i went with her. it was a pentecostal church and my youth leader would always say we aren’t the types that play with snakes and i NEVER understood why he would say it but now i understand 😭
