  Thank you for showcasing on video an era of railroading and railfanning unmarred by the seemingly endless graffiti we see on locomotives, rolling stock, and infrastructure &nbsp;today. It brought back fond boyhood memories I have of the Penn Central and later Conrail in the northeast and the video preserves a lot of locations and lines where I saw trains during travels with my family. As I grew older, I gained a better appreciation for the economic transformation of failed and failing northeast railroads thanks to Conrail and this video and its narration provide key contexts and explains the significance well.

  I blame the near-total collapse of the entire Northeast rail system on the Interstate Commerce Commission (ICC), for it was their archaic and desensitized method of railroad governance that destroyed the major roads, one by one. <br>Thank God for the Staggers Act of 1980, which helped put an end to this economic carnage. &nbsp;☹️
