I live in rural upstate New York and one day I was taking my child to a specialist in Plattsburgh, driving on a rural highway much like the one in the second story, with  a deep shoulder on one side. A rabbit hopped out in the road in front of me while I was driving 55 miles an hour. The road was dry and luckily clear of traffic and the weather was a mild sunny day in late spring and I braked and swerved to try to avoid the rabbit. Unfortunately, the rabbit swerved too and I hit it anyway, but I never regained control after I swerved, I kept fishtailing in my big tank of a car and went  20 feet down a ditch. Luckily my child and I were unhurt and my car was driveable, only had a broken headlight. Perhaps something similar happened to the nurse in the second story since both she and her vehicle are still missing. I pray for answers for her family. I do know that Adventures with Purpose has searched underwater for her at least once, and hopefully she will be found soon.

I’ve been to great camp santinoni many times. It’s wilderness. The Adirondacks maybe small mountains but unforgiving.  A true mystery this disappearance is

We've ridden our bikes back to the camp twice. 10 miles in, & it's rustic but absolutely gorgeous.

And there is the older gentlman and veteran of WWII who disappeared completely while hunting deer, with his friends, in NY State.

Everyone knows Jaliek's adoptive "father" is responsible for his  disappearance.

My dad and his experienced woodsmen friends looked for the boy and at one point found, i believe, a child's sneaker prints that went nowhere. They also ran into a bunch of hippies way back in the woods on the property. They didnt know how they got there but they appeared to be living there. They wondered if they had the boy but no real cooperation from them. They had their own suspicions about why and how Douglas disappered. Very sad.
