  I&apos;ve always felt Jak and Daxter was ahead of its time. For how smoothly the game plays and is animated. Having no loading screens and a day/night cycle on top of it too for immersion.<br><br>Not to mention the graphical leap its sequels took while having a lot more happening on screen and still the games ran so smooth on the PS2. Don&apos;t know what kind of black magic they put into it to make such impressive games run like that on PS2&apos;s hardware.

  As much as I adore the first Ratchet and Clank, I&apos;d say Jak &amp; Daxter certainly aged the best.

  What I do like at RaC is the fact that in RaC 1 you being so clunky and slow makes a lot of sense from a story perspective. In RaC 1 you are just an average mechanic on an adventure. In RaC 2, Ratchet got military training, explaining why he becomes a lot more quicker and responsive.

  Ratchet and clank 1 does have strafing, it&apos;s just slow and barely has a use.<br><br>Double tap R1 with the rocket pack equiped and he will hover in place and have strafing controls unlocked when holding L2.<br><br>It&apos;s useful on ice as it negates sliding
