  Yes, I like this opening a lot, used it in two classical tournament games so far and won both games because opponents were playing impatiently, maybe thinking &quot;I have to beat this passive approach!&quot;. It&apos;s one of those openings where club level players know to take over the centre, it seems they have a good position but it&apos;s not easy to prove because you have to play well with the space advantage.

  Have you ever considered attacking on the king side as black with the &quot;black lion&quot;? Especially when white plays an early h3 that&apos;s a great weapon.

  I have only recently started getting back into chess at 32 after a 25 year hiatus. My dad taught me how to play when I was 7 and then promptly started kicking my butt and wouldn&apos;t teach me theory. Didn&apos;t make it fun to learn. You, on the other hand, are a great teacher. I went from around 250 ELO to 1000 ELO just from using your fundamentals. <br><br>Thanks for your awesome content!

  This is so obvious that I still I’m shock at how I didn’t know this! All these years I’ve been adding and subtracting the width of the cue ball basically guessing. This is such a good hack thanks Ian 🙏🏽🤗🥂

  At <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pWi--WIthmY&amp;t=991">16:31</a>, I was surprised you didn&apos;t evaluate axb2+. CCTA had me looking at it. I think your move order might still be better to preserve the check element of the BxR threat. Without the check, NxE5 can be followed by the fork NxC6+.
