  Aside from using chakra names and (in OoT) symbology, the Seven Sages are also based on the Saptarṣi from Hinduism, which literally just means &quot;Seven Sages&quot;. They&apos;re a group of semi-divine hero figures that are reborn at the start of every manvantara. They&apos;re closely associated with the Big Dipper constellation, which is just itself called &quot;Saptarṣi&quot; in Sanskrit.

  This game&apos;s story alwyas flies under everyone&apos;s radar, it&apos;s so nice to see the cultural influences on it.

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUJErTRXTOE&amp;t=359">5:59</a> these navigation designs were just fine in the 80’s. Console games were still community-based and as kids we spent many lunch breaks and reassess in Elementary School talking about what we discovered and then going to try what our friends found when we got home. It was brilliant.

  @<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUJErTRXTOE&amp;t=289">4:49</a> - This ironically didn&apos;t stop some arcade cabinet owners from trying. &nbsp;There was a PIzza Hut that had a bunch of NES games playable through an arcade cabinet, which quarters buying time to play the various games. &nbsp;And in said cabinet was Legend of Zelda. &nbsp;I remember looking at it and wondering how it would work, but I guess too many people complained about the lost progress, because it was only in that cabinet for a month or so before getting pulled... and replaced with Metroid... which apparently also garnered complaints because that got pulled too. &nbsp;My guess is that the owner of the Pizza Hut liked playing the games themselves and either thought <b>any</b> game would work or would play them after hours.

  The dark world had some other interesting easter eggs in it that would have been perfect companions to this excellent video.<br><br>One example is the the giant fish that gives you the Quake medallion that is based on a Japanese mythological catfish named Namazu that causes earthquakes when it thrashes. <br><br>I especially loved the explanation of the moonpearl and the wise men! My favorite Zelda game in the series and I always loved its mixture of charm and depth.

  Interesting how the charkras almost line up perfectly with the medallions in Ocarina of Time, save for the magenta/top. Then you remember Zelda is also one of the sages, and she fits it pretty well, as much as an individual can fit. The others kinda fit as well with their matching chakras.

  Soma was a drink made from mares milk, that had veen fermented, then the booze was used to get the principal ingredients of multiple plants into the booze, plants like the white poppy (opium} marijuana (thc) and two plants believed to vobtain an MAOI and DMT, it was a &quot;cure all&quot; and a shamans elixer all in one, and was used in rituals to &quot;commune with the gods&quot;

  a link to the past was probably my first video game ever, literally before i even went to preschool. my siblings and i would BEG our oldest brother to play it so we could watch, he pissed off my parents because he wracked up a FAT bill from the nintendo hot line to get hints on how to move forward in the game for us since we always wanted to watch him play. good times. i remember playing the beginning sequence where you save zelda over and over and over, and of course, spending hours in kakariko cutting grass
