Better to lose 75% on a $400 guitar than 25% on a $4,000 guitar. That's one of the things that's often overlooked or never talked about.

Golden rule 1: Don't ever buy a new guitar thinking that it will hold its vale. It never does. Rule 2. There are beautiful guitars that are rare - but virtually impossible to sell without making a huge loss. Rule 3. There are also guitars that a rare... because they are so horrible. And NOBODY wants them. Rule 4. If at all possible, buy second hand guitars and you will cry less when you come to sell them. Thanks for the review, Shane.😎😁👍🎸

This is why buying used is so good. You get a bargain, and, if you sell, you don't lose as much, maybe nothing, or maybe you even gain.

50% drop isn't bad when the original price was below 500 bucks , but when it was 5 grand , ouch ....

This is why I haven't sold anything. I have found some great playing cheap guitars that won't pull much money, so I may as well keep them.
