Very annoying that the Hotspot Zone enforces the Captive Portal on clients in that zone. I had the portal disabled for a customer on their guest WiFi network secured via password, but once added to the Hotspot zone it enforces the portal without making it clear, also overrides the WiFi password and makes it an open WiFi. Stopped all their Alexa devices and Fire Sticks working and was very annoying to troubleshoot.

Truly a great improvement. So much easier to use. Took me a while to see the tiny little button to create a new zone and understand the real power.

Keeping phones and Roombas on separate networks is not really about concerns for attack vectors from google (as you said). It’s about privacy and data aggregation via the app license policies and agreements/terms attached to the use of licensed physical devices. Security starts with privacy. Interzone device management should be completely reliable with proper policies by device or zone. If it’s not, that’s a major problem in the ubiquiti ecosystem.
