canned, dehydrated, freeze dried meat is definitely a must for any prepper pantry. most of our grandparents were preppers. they didn’t prep for war necessarily. it was just a smart idea for when groceries were scarce. learn to can also

Several meals you can make from pantry staples: (have small bottles of BBQ sauce, pesto, tahini, mayo, minced garlic, soy sauce, and relish on hand so nothing goes to waste.) <br> <br>No cooking required: <br>1. Cowboy Caviar - black beans, corn, Ro-Tel, garbanzo beans, olive oil or mayo, cumin, chili powder, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper and serve with scoop style tortilla chips <br>2. Tuna/mayo/relish on crackers w pickles and chips <br>3. Salmon salad (w mayo and curry powder) with crackers and canned fruit cocktail <br>4. Chickpea salad made with garbanzo beans/diced tomatoes/tahini f shelf safe bottle/minced garlic f jar/jarred olives and tuna/chicken/salmon if more protein is desired <br> <br>Heating required but for taste only: <br>1. Canned potatoes and canned mackerel with a pack of nori seaweed crumbled into it, serve with pickles <br>2. Canned chicken with BBQ sauce over ready rice, serve with sweet corn <br>3. Canned herring over ready rice with canned green beans <br>4. Chili and crackers, serve with canned peaches <br>5. Canned chicken with jarred pesto tossed with ready pasta and served with canned pears <br>6. Spam and pineapple chunks served over ready rice with a drizzle of honey <br>7.
