  Just finished drilling my well using this method, &nbsp;hit compressed gravel/sand layer at 5.5 meters, after 2 hours i progressed maybe 20cm, my drilling bit was all dulled from scraping, so decided to finish it there, even though i&apos;ve had 10m of pipes prepared.<br>Doubt it will have water, but it was a fun thing to try.<br>I&apos;ve used even smaller compressor, around 150W, from a broken up air dehumidifier (theirs should be 400W).<br>Size of pipe was 3/4 (same they use in the video)<br>For drilling fluid i used Xanthan gum instead, &nbsp;you really don&apos;t need much, it&apos;s readily available, and not expensive.<br>One big thing not mentioned in the videos (but it is shown), you need to top up the bore hole, meaning, fill it up all the way with water.<br>First time i tried, i&apos;ve only filled up 1/3, and it would not work, after contacting WOT, &nbsp;they confirmed you need to top up the bore hole.<br>I thought doing this would dilute the drilling fluid too much, and it would not work, but worked out fine, the thing spat out big pieces of rock and sand easily.<br><br>After everything was setup properly, it was rather fast to drill, shame a hit a very hard layer so i had to quit.

  No idea why the algorithm chose to show me this video but I watched it till the end. I already have a well on my property and we also have access to a professional drilling machine but the technique shown here is still interesting to me because I want to get the mud out of my pond without killing any animals living there and I think using air could be an excellent way to do this.

  amazing. an EMAS drill stem but with air instead of water. very cool. transparent pipe demonstration with sand and marbles is great. hard to believe it works without seeing it.

  He used way more elbow grease than air to drill that well! His first drink of water out of the well had to be the best sip ever

  My well is at 10 meters. When it needs to be replaced I will use this methoud. Only thing I would add is maybe a tower with a electric motor on the top could turn then lift the pipe via a cam before a spring pulls it back to 0. Gravity would lower the pipe but you would need a exposed &nbsp;1 meter &nbsp;section for the cam to hit. <br><br><br> The 1 meter section would drop down through the tower until it was no longer hitting the pulley. You then get up from your chair and add a new 1 meter section, check the temps and let the thing dig another meter while you relax.

  The golden recommendation !!! Just today I drilled a 11 meter deep borehole with a water jet without much difficulty. I live in a city area in the Flevopolder, Netherlands. Soft soil and sand at 7 meters deep. My possibilities were to use urban city water, just available at low volume, &nbsp;I prepared this project for a long time, my concern was the low volume of water that is available. Just the evening before the start of the project I saw this briljant procedure to use some compressed air at the bottom of the bore so I modified my bore head with a small pressure line that was fed from my workshop compressor. The air injection makes the waterflow many times more effective; maybe too effective. In the end I had to refill the bore hole cavity with at least 100 liters of well sand. Thanks U -Twente!!!
