I keep a battle rifle I can use in the woods, a hunting rifle I can use for long range, a PCC that I can break down and put in a backpack, but would trust for medium to large game, pistols, a shotgun, and a .22 pellet rifle I could take small game with for years without running out of pellets.

A good baseline plan for covering everything is a suppressed.22 rifle like a 10/22, a good suppressed.22 pistol like a 22/45 or one of the Mark series, a QUALITY AK pattern rifle in 7.62x39 (no century arms built garbage) a QUALITY AR in 5.56 with a .30 caliber suppressor so you can use it on a .300 blackout upper, (not a cheap polymer receiver and substandard bolt and carrier), a good 9mm pistol such as a Glock 19 with a threaded barrel for a suppressor, a .308 bolt gun with a good scope and suppressor and a 12 ga pump shotgun like a Mossberg 500 or 590 which can also be suppressed. That will cover 99.9% of all needs you will encounter. You can get different uppers for the AR for specific needs like a .300 blackout with an 8 inch barrel if needed. Put suppressors on everything.

This is an excellent presentation of really good weapon systems and platforms. I am very impressed. Each one of these weapons has its purpose but overall in a pinch I would take a .22 rifle because of all the reasons you shared. As a backup AK-47.

The Ruger mini-14 is a workhorse. And action is based off of platform that has seen every conflict in the past

762 by 39 is one of my favorite rounds. In my AR... It's accurate  one hell of a hog killer

I love my Rock Island Armery M4 carbine. I had her built amd have dumped over 1000 rounds through her, didn't clean it and she still runs every time i pick her up and fire off some rounds. I've beat her up and she still runs smooth and flat!!!❤😊

7.62 is a great round......until you have to hump 1000 rds<br>The mini 14 &amp; M-16 series like the XM-15 are outstanding wpns that can meet your needs once properly trained. Any round is a good round.... when it impacts the target

The Ruger 10/22 is a good choice but if you want a survival 22 rifle get a nylon 66, it holds right out of the box the guy had a new one anyway it&apos;s still to this day holds the world record for accuracy, without any type of optics, plus brand new they designed it to not have to be oiled or cleaned until you have shot at least $5,000 rounds through it. It just doesn&apos;t get better than that.
