  You forgot the best parts of Mr Rogers! The 5-part Cold War special, and the fact that he started narrating every time he fed the fish because the mother of a blind child wrote in that her kid was worried about whether the fish were being cared for

  Gen Xer here, I grew up poor, and my mom didn&apos;t get cable until I was 17. <br><br>So PBS was a huge staple in my life, &nbsp;I was a young mom, so my kids, &nbsp;grew up with PBS as well.<br><br>I&apos;m in Rhode Island , USA, and I have a couple of family members who work for PBS in Boston. <br><br>I donate to PBS and NPR every year.

  My grandpa once casually mentioned to me that he donates to PBS. With this knowledge, I would like to believe that it is a collective of grandparents that I can thank for my childhood joy of watching Dragon Tales and Arthur.
