  Catherine Howard (the “all you want to do” Queen) absolutely breaks my heart. She was beheaded at 19 after being abused by men her whole life… When they got married, Henry was 30 years older than her. Such a sad story!

  PLEASE listen to the live version on spotify, genuinely, it provides a lot of context to the songs and also all you wanna do is HEARTBREAKING. there’s monologues before a lot of the songs

  So just for some context on the queen that died during childbirth. Her child was still very young (teen) when he died. So at the end of the animatic when she hugs her child, you can see he is still shorter than her (not fully grown). So it kinda hints at them meeting again after death.

  Given you went into this cold, you picked up a lot of the cues really fast. A lot of reactors I&apos;ve seen miss so many lyrical references in this. Great reaction.

  Being a fan of the “I’m the queen of the castle” flow is crazy cuz it’s legit from a British nursery rhyme “I’m the king of the castle get down you dirty rascal”

  The rhyme &apos;divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded, survived&apos; is how we learnt about the Tudors at primary school here in the Uk! <br>It really is a clever musical - especially when you take into account it was written by a pair of uni students! From mixing in the traditional Greensleves, adding musical references like &apos;suddenly Seymor&apos;, giving each Queen their own unique music style/comparative artist, even the costumes and styling mixing old with new and adding touches (like the beheaded Queens wearing chokers).<br>It&apos;s an amazing musical to see live, by the end everyone is up and dancing along. Check out some live clips (especially Samantha Pauly&apos;s All You Wanna Do) but I also love the flashmob they did at the Tower of London several years ago (which is such a fitting setting if you know the true history!).
