  3 months of ownership here and I love the little sherpa. Mainy country road, gravel road and trail use and hasnt let me down yet. Price kind of sucked by I liked the desert tan and shorter rider height and decided to treat myself.

  I just scored a used 2026 klx230s with 250 miles on it for $4k with rear rack and tank bag. Great bike. Awesome for single and two track. Loving it.

  Great review. I get 73-80 mpg on my 2022 KLX230SE (regular seat height of 34.8), consistently, over 9k miles of use. I ride it daily as a commuter to work (20 miles round trip, no interstate highways) and love it. I put Shinko 705's on it which are more road biased than knobbies. It's snappy and as you said, just enough power without being overwhelming for new riders or more chilled experienced riders. As I noted on one of your other vids where you compared it to the XR150L, there are 2 important upgrades I'd recommend to anyone: A seat concepts aftermarket seat, and a manual idle adjustment screw which will allow you to turn the high idle down. But overall, just a great little bike that does it all. I can't find a reason to part with mine - have listed it a couple of times but then pulled the listing because I just don't want to let it go. It's that good.

  I own a 2026 KLX230S (the regular model) and it’s a blast. It has enough power to keep up with traffic but remains small & light enough to maintain that thrill you get from riding a smaller/slower bike fast. I’ve owned a KTM 500 and Suzuki DR200s and I find this bike to be the perfect medium. I plan on adding some modifications so I can take it on the BDR. This bike is more than capable of that. Btw I’m 6ft 185lbs and in my 30s and this bike has me smiling like I did when I first started riding as a child. You truly don’t need much power to have a great time.

  Nice video I have a 2023 green& white color I've owned a lot of bikes these bikes has a smooth shifting transmission and does everything I need it to do it's really built good nice frame smooth welds got mine new for 3,800
