That “Iran in the 70s” has become some sort of Internet meme at this point

I still remember advertisements for fashion houses like Chanel which included a list of locations: "New York - London - Paris - Teheran." Ah, the good old days!

That old saying, “follow the money”. Was definitely in effect.

My uncle met the Shah after he was already deposed. The Shah was here in the US for cancer treatment while my uncle was in the same hospital for heart treatment. They met each other and got on quite well from what I was told.

I passed this clip to Iranian immigrant, a highly educated specialist. He&apos;s thrilled with your movies on Iran and Middle East subjects. <br>Chapeau bas, Dr Felton.

My grandpa visited Iran in the 1970s before the revolution, I still have some of the banknotes and coins he bought back. I had no idea what these were until my teens. Glad I kept them

In the late 70&apos;s I worked with a kid who referred to himself as &quot;Persian&quot;. He went by the name Mac, and it wasn&apos;t until I got to know him that he divulged his real name and why he was in the states. His father had been fairly high up in the political structure and after the revolution he and his family were basically condemned to death. He moved his family to America. Mac would talk about fears (not sure if they were justified or not) of &quot;death squads&quot; that were present in America looking for folks like him. One of the nicest guys I&apos;ve ever worked with.
