  I believe the BERKEY Phoenix filter used in the tests is not intended for removal of Biological Contaminates. &nbsp;The BERKEY PP9-2 filter is for that purpose. &nbsp;The difference in price for the 2 filters is substantial, and reflects the difficulty for removal of biological contaminants. &nbsp;The price for the PP9-2 filter is almost double that of the Phoenix, that is primarily for chemical contaminates.

  Am I the only one who thinks 200 gallons is not enough water when we could be in a “shift” situation? Trying to can and preserve food from a garden and cook everything from scratch seems like 200 gallons would go fast. Just thinking about rinsing and soaking beans for instance. Preparing rice, oats, making soups not to mention if you had dehydrated or freeze dried foods. Very complicated business. Thanks so very much for your videos.

  Thank you for your hard work and testing these all. If I preferred the aesthetic look of the boruox system and paired it with the patriot filter, would it have the same high rating as the phoenix system? Let me know your honest thoughts are on this, at the end of the day, I do want the best water possible. However, I just do love the look of the boroux since the logo isn&apos;t as loud haha.
