A concert with half a million people without a single incident! Just pure love and unity. Celebrating our core values: God, family, and homeland.
That’s how we Croats do it! ❤️🇭🇷🫶
A true spectacle!!!

Yes, this is the Croatian people when united, beating as one heart. Marko "Thompson" himself was a volunteer in the Homeland War of 1991. He sings (the lyrics) the truth! And we, who also went to war in '91 as volunteers, know that truth well — and it is painful! Because in a brutal, imposed war, when the whole world turns its back on you, what choice do you have left but to fight for the sovereignty, integrity, and wholeness of your homeland.
Warm regards from Croatia.❤🤍💙

We finally got our freedom and independence, we were waiting for it a 1000 years... Now we are proud people, loving our country, family and God more than anything else... A resilient nation with so much history, some good and some bad... We never gave up... We just want to live in our land in peace and freedom... We love and respect our neighbors, and we will never invade foreign lands, but we will always protect ours 🙂

Thompson stands for a US-made submachine gun. A weapon that was in use between the two world wars and even during the Second World War. When the Serbian hordes (the Chetniks and the JNA) invaded Croatia in 1991, we Croats had no weapons. Serbia's allies (France and England) had imposed an arms embargo on Croatia.
So we Croats were forced to take up any weapon that could be used to defend our people and our country.
Marko bought himself a Thompson (on the black market). There was nothing more modern for him. Because there were three people named Marko in his unit, but only one Thompson, they simply called him Thompson to avoid confusion in the heat of battle.
